Cheeseman Returns Again

Hello again! I haven’t posted much to Cheeseman Returns lately, but I guess that’s what happens when your laptop gets destroyed in a house fire! Anyway, I now have a new laptop and lots to fill you in on.

Firstly, I’m leaving Twitter. As I dismantle eleven years of posting my work there, I’m taking the opportunity to celebrate the journey of Dan Cheeseman Art. In a series of articles for Cheeseman Returns, I'll be exhibiting my drawings (many of which can't be found anywhere else) and providing commentary.

My iPad was also wrecked in the fire so I've rediscovered the joys of drawing with pencil, pens and watercolour. You can check out my latest stuff on Instagram and BlueSky and find my Etsy shop here.

Art isn't all I've been working on. I've also made it further than ever before in my latest attempt to write a novel. After publishing the first drafts of Chapters One and Two on Cheeseman Returns, I've forged ahead and written 13,803 words now! I guess that means I'm about 10% done and will complete the book in 2035.

I recently did some more Batmansplaining when I was a guest on Lisa Sanchelo's wonderful series, 'I Love That Movie,' available wherever you get your podcasts. Meanwhile, over on our Youtube channel, Alice and I are hoping to record our opinions on the big summer blockbusters of 2025- as always, this very blog will let you know when the next episode drops.
